What is Farm School?
Farm School is a structured weekly program designed to grow capable, confident kids through active farm life. It blends outdoor education, American history, and real agricultural experience on a working farm.
Each Friday, children experience:
- Themed educational blocks
- Meaningful farm chores
- Seasonal play and exploration
- Fun, and new friendships!
Children rotate through hands-on topics like:
- Animal care (chickens, goats, cows, pigs, sheep)
- Gardening & plant cultivation
- Soil science & irrigation
- Farm tools & equipment
- Food systems: farm to table
- The role of agriculture in American history
We use inquiry-based learning to spark curiosity, allowing kids to ask questions, explore, and grow in ways that fit their unique learning styles.

Special requirements
Behavioral Expectations Policy
At The Farm, our goal is to create a safe, fun, and memorable experience for every child who attends our farm school and kids camp. To maintain this environment, we require the following from all participants:
Basic Participation Requirements
- All children must be fully potty trained.
- Children must be willing and agreeable to participate in group activities.
- Children must be able to follow directions, respect instructors, and stay with the group at all times.
Behavioral Issues & Parent Notification
If a child becomes uncooperative, disruptive, or displays aggressive or erratic behavior
(e.g. yelling at staff, refusing to move or participate, harming others, or having prolonged meltdowns),
we will immediately contact their parent or guardian. Parents must be prepared to return to the farm immediately if contacted.
Re-Entry Policy
- If a parent or guardian is called due to behavioral concerns, the child will not be allowed to return for the next scheduled class unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- The child may only return to class if a parent or guardian remains on-site for the full session to assist as needed.
We understand that all kids have off days, but we are not a specialized care facility and cannot accommodate severe behavioral disruptions. Our team is committed to giving every child a joyful and enriching farm experience — and that’s only possible when all participants are safe, cooperative, and ready to have fun.
Let us know if you have any questions. We’re here to support your child’s growth and adventure!
